Established in 1995, Fiji Surf Co is the country’s first local surf company. Over 20 years ago, a small group of Fijian surfers came together to develop, promote and encourage surfing among the people to create a surf brand that Fijians can proudly call theirs.

Fiji Surf CoFijian surfing is considered to be a lost art that Fiji Surf Co is trying to keep alive by supporting surfers and producing competitions. Legend has it that a hundred years ago, traders and sailors discovered Fijians, mostly women, riding waves similar to Hawaii.

Fiji Surf CoToday, the islands have hosted a number of international competitions including the Globe Pro, Roxy Fiji pros and Red Bull Events. International superstars such as Kelly Slater, Layne Beachly, Andy and Bruce Irons, Taj Burrows, and Rochelle Ballard have enjoyed the perfect reef break waves, excellent wind conditions, and favorable tides that Fiji offers.

Fiji Surf CoWith the exception of the Sigatoka Sand Dunes, the waves that Fiji has earned its trademark for are the reef breaks. This includes Namotu Lefts, Cloudbreaks and Restaurants, which are characterized by their long, fast barreling lefts.

Fiji Surf CoIf you’ve always dreamt of tackling these barrels, then why not learn how to surf with Fiji Surf School? It is a fully qualified and experienced surf school that is endorsed by Surfing Australia and sponsored by VSL (Viti Surf Legend). The school is suitable for all ages and skill levels. Qualified lifeguards will make sure you looked after from the shore. School includes pick up and drop off from where you are staying in Nadi. Lessons go for about 2 hours. Group bookings available.
